Privacy Policy
Teacher Planner is an app for school teachers in the Kurdistan Region and Iraq to write daily lesson plans and print them as PDF files. This policy explains what information the app collects, why, who can see it, and how you can have it deleted.
Information we collect
- Account details: your full name, your login code (your Ministry of Education code), your password, and the phone number you use to pay for your subscription. Your password is stored only as a one-way hash; nobody, including us, can read it.
- Your school, if our administrators link your account to one.
- Subscription status: whether your payment has been confirmed and when your subscription ends.
- What you write in the app: your classes (name, stage, grade and subject) and your lesson plans.
- Server logs: when the app talks to our server, the server records the time, your IP address and which feature was used, to keep the service working and secure. Logs are overwritten automatically after a short time.
The app does not collect your location, contacts, photos, camera, microphone or advertising ID. It has no advertising and no analytics or tracking tools.
How we use it
- To create your account and sign you in.
- To back up your classes and lesson plans and keep them in step between your phone and our server.
- To produce the PDF files of your lesson plans.
- To confirm your subscription payment.
- To answer you when you contact support.
We do not sell your information or use it for advertising.
Who can see your information
- You.
- Your school's manager (principal), if your account is linked to a school: they can read your lesson plans in the app but cannot change them.
- Our administrators, to confirm payments, manage accounts and give support.
- Our hosting provider (Contabo), whose server stores the data for us and may not use it for anything else.
- Google Fonts: the app downloads its font from Google's servers, so Google receives your device's IP address when it does.
Subscriptions are paid outside the app, through FIB, Qi Card, FastPay or Asiacell. We never receive your card or bank details; we only use your payment phone number to match your payment. We may also disclose information when the law requires it.
Where it is stored and how it is protected
Your classes and plans are saved on your phone, so the app works without internet, and are copied to our server when you are online. Your sign-in is kept in your phone's secure storage (Keychain on iPhone, Keystore on Android). All traffic between the app and the server is encrypted (HTTPS), access to the server is restricted, and the database is backed up every night.
How long we keep it, and deleting your account
We keep your information while you have an account. You can delete your account in the app under Settings → Delete account (سڕینەوەی ئەکاونت). Your account is closed at once and you can no longer sign in. If you do not ask us to restore it within 30 days, your account and all its classes and lesson plans are permanently erased.
You can also ask us to erase your information at any time using the contact details below; we do so within 30 days. Copies in our nightly backups are overwritten within 14 days after that.
Your rights
You can ask us to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you. You can see and change your lesson plans in the app at any time, and print or save them as PDF files.
Children
Teacher Planner is made for teachers, not for children, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. Please do not write students' personal details in your lesson plans.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will publish the new version on this page and update the date at the top.
